Whitley Road – Side/Rear Extension and Bathroom

PROJECT SUMMARY

This extension offered the client an opportunity to exploit some dead space along the side of the property and turn it into a beautiful kitchen with a farmhouse feel. The pitched roof allowed natural light into the property via two pressure-controlled Velux windows, which was a challenge due to the close proximity of the neighbouring property. The kitchen is top quality, with all materials sourced locally and from sustainable sources, even including the backsplash behind the oven, which uses polished red granite from a local quarry in Kent.

The kitchen was also pushed out into the back garden, offering space for a new downstairs bathroom, which seems essential in a modern house these days. The bathroom is finished to a high standard, with all tiling and installations carried out by our partners.
